Suprema ID integrates the latest document reader, RealPass-N Series, with secunet biomiddle

Suprema ID has announced its latest document reader will integrate themost recent version of the secunet biomiddle, granting the potential to expandinto European markets, particularly Automated Border Control (ABC).

Suprema ID’s RealPass-N is a full-page and multi-functional documentreader for one-step reading of multiple document types, including ICAO standarddocuments such as e-Passport, e-Visa, ID cards, and barcodes.

RealPass-N’s low profile with the ergonomic form factor and simple shapemakes it the perfect product to integrate into self-service kiosks, e-gates,and counters for automated border control, specifically the European Union’sEntry-Exit Systems (EES).

The company’s document reader will incorporate secunet biomiddle, astandard-oriented middleware solution for all conceivable biometrics and eIDapplications. secunet biomiddle allows easy replacement of components at anytime, making the processes involved in eID enrollment, police work, and atborder controls smooth, sustainable, and transparent.

Park Bo-gun, CEO at Suprema ID, says that “Adding biomiddle intoRealPass-N is expected to secure its position for global projects such as EES,as it is recognized as the international reference implementation and preferredarchitecture for the use of document readers in ABC”.

The announcement further builds on the existing partnership betweenSuprema ID’s product line and secunet biomiddle.

Suprema ID has already integrated its full line-up offingerprint/palmprint live scanners early this year with secunet biomiddle;RealScan-G10, RealScan-S60, RealScan-D, and RealScan-FC.

“We are happy to include Suprema ID’s latest documentreader, RealPass-N, in secunet biomiddle as a platform. This will give ourcustomers the opportunity to choose more affordable biometric and documentreaders which can also be easily integrated,” said Dennis Olischlaeger, SeniorProduct Manager at secunet Security Networks AG."
