Suprema ID announced today the integration of the BioMini-Slim3 FAP30 sensor into Laxton Group’s Chameleon Range of biometric handheld and tablet products.
The latest entry into Suprema ID's BioMini Slim line of ultra-thin scanners, the BioMini Slim 3 delivers a large fingerprint sensing area allowing it to capture high-quality fingerprint images. Among the core features, there is a liveness detection algorithm based on deep learning, dubbed Fake Finger Detection. This incredible feature enables the exposure of spoofing attacks where impostors intend to trick the authentication system by mimicking the biometrics of an authorized user.
Laxton Group’s flagship products, the Chameleon Range (www.chameleonbiometrics.com) consist of over 20 adaptable, rugged, biometric devices that are designed with handheld, tablet, laptop, and desktop options, in both Windows and Android. These mobile devices are built to support multi-modal authentication across a wide variety of operational environments.
“Laxton Group recognizes the broad range of requirements our customers and partners have in the multitude of environments in which they operate,” said Nick Perkins, President Europe, Middle East, and Africa, at Laxton Group. “For this reason, the Chameleon Range was designed broadly to meet needs and requirements, while still providing choice. With an array of form factors and biometric modalities, the devices are suitable for any use case, and in any environment. Incorporating the BioMini Slim 3 module into our devices further broadens the range and provides our customers and partners with the ability to leverage the Suprema ID brand.”
“We are pleased to offer the BioMini Slim 3 module that has been certified by FBI/FAP30 to our global customers who are considering deploying Chameleon Biometrics products with biometric functionality. Our BioMini Slim 3 strengthens our commitment to increasing security and convenience for our customers and our technology partners, such as Laxton,” Said Bogun Park, CEO at Suprema ID.
