Suprema ID, a global leader in biometrics and ID solutions, has announced that the company’s BioMini Slim 3 FAP30 fingerprint scanner is integrated into several rugged biometric tablet platforms from AMREL, a mobile biometrics and rugged solutions provider based in California, USA.

The introduction of BioMini Slim 3 module demonstrates another seamless fit into AMREL’s biometric models. AMREL’s new FAP30, Android-based solutions are:
   1. ARKLITE SR-MB86, an 8” semi- rugged biometric tablet
   2. BioSense AT80B, an 8” fully rugged biometric tablet
   3. BIOPTIX PA5B, a 10” fully rugged biometric tablet

The latest entry in Suprema ID's BioMini Slim line of ultra-thin scanners, BioMini Slim 3 delivers a large fingerprint sensing area allowing it to capture high-quality fingerprint images. It also features a liveness detection algorithm based on deep learning, dubbed Fake Finger Detection, allowing it to detect spoofing attacks in which impostors try to trick the authentication system by mimicking the biometrics of an authorized user.
