Suprema ID, a global leader in biometrics and ID solutions, has announced that the company’s BioMini Slim 2S fingerprint scanner is being used for law enforcement by the Spanish National Police.

The Spanish National Police are in the process of being equipped with new police cars that include the latest equipment, supplied by Kimaldi and Federal Signal Vama, to bring better service to citizens while allowing the police to make a better use of their resources. These new cars have all the required equipment to accomplish identity controls: they include the Suprema ID’s BioMini Slim 2S fingerprint scanner which is being used for citizens to present their fingerprint allowing access to their data.

BioMini Slim 2S, is a range-leading FAP20 fingerprint authentication scanner from Suprema ID’s featuring an array of cutting-edge technologies. Along with its 13.5mm slim optical sensor, BioMini Slim 2S features Suprema ID’s proprietary Multi-dynamic Range (MDR) technology, FBI PIV and Mobile ID FAP20 compliance and Android device support. BioMini Slim 2S also provides developers more physical flexibility with its reduced form factor and the ultra-slim optical sensor ensures robust operation over time. BioMini Slim 2S provides new and advanced Live Finger Detection (LFD) technology by applying a machine learning method that analyses and categorizes image patterns according to optical characteristics.
