Suprema ID, a global leader in biometrics and ID solutions, has announced that the company’s World’s smallest FAP20-certified BM-Slim2 fingerprint module is integrated into Elyctis ID BOX One 152 and 341 from Elyctis, an expert in eID and ePassport readers.

The Elyctis ID BOX One 152 is a scanner developed by Elyctis dedicated to applications where citizens keep their ID in sight and where MRZ scan, RFID read and fingerprint verification are required for authentication. The ID BOX One 152 can be used either in self-service mode or operated by an attendant; it allows to scan the MRZ (Machine-Readable Zone) of an ID document, read its RFID and authenticate the user thanks to a fingerprint scanner. The ID BOX One 152 and 341 include a SAM (Security Access Module) slot to allow storing the EAC (Extended Access Control) certificates complying with ICAO ePassport standards. Elyctis selected the BM-Slim 2 module to integrate in the Elyctis ID BOX One 152 and 341.

BM-Slim2, is a range-leading FAP20 fingerprint authentication scanner, from Suprema. Featuring the world’s slimmest (13.5mm in thickness) FAP20 optical sensor, the new BM-Slim2 produces unrivalled fingerprint image quality and range-leading features, including Suprema’s proprietary Multi-dynamic Range(MDR) technology, FBI PIV/FIPS 201/Mobile ID FAP20 compliance, USB 2.0 interface and Android device support.
